Join our Capybara Encounter to experience these gentle, social superstars.
Learn about their behaviours, habitats, and how protecting wetlands helps them thrive.
Timing – Daily at 2:00pm, check-in required 15 minutes prior. Bookings essential.
Sit amongst the capybara and offer them part of their daily diet under keeper supervision.

Enjoy the calm nature of these gentle animals in a peaceful, close-up encounter.
If the capybara choose to come close, guests may gently pat them under keeper supervision.
Your encounter will be approximately 20 minutes.
Our encounters are available for guests aged 8 years and over.
Children aged 8 - 10 require one paying adult for every two children.
Children aged 11 - 15 require one paying adult for every three children.
Maximum Group Size: 6 people
Closed toe shoes must be worn.
All encounters are subject to weather conditions.
